How would you handle it... poll...kinda
Lets say that you have had sighting of a monsterous world class whitetail in your area...
1st - who would you tell (if anyone) 2nd - How would you react/ pursue 3rd- how wuld you try to protect this deer/ keep him on your property just curious because my family has one roaming around and its no secret any more... |
RE: How would you handle it... poll...kinda
1-No
2-Relentlessly 3-Tough. In NC.....I'd make sure I spoke to his stomach (baiting is legal, here). Second plan of attack woud be to speak to his pursuit of does. I've had people tell me that they never see bucks around bait......only does. I always ask if they've ever HEARD or better "bait". Good luck to you. Jeff |
RE: How would you handle it... poll...kinda
First i would probably not tell any but the people that hunt that land, second hunt it how you would any buck watch it and try and get a idea of where he likes to be and pattern himthen PRAY.If you do not spook him he should stay around, and find the does becouse that is where he is going to want to be in a couple of months. maybe you will get some better info some of these guys but that is what i would do. BEST OF LUCK to you!

RE: How would you handle it... poll...kinda
1. I've told a lot of people because there is about 300,000 acres that fits that description of public land.
2. Constantly 3. There is nothing I can do, except sit back and watch. |
RE: How would you handle it... poll...kinda
1. I'd tell my hunting partners but not any average joe.
2. As much as I could. 3. Deer are free ranging animals, let them roam. |
RE: How would you handle it... poll...kinda
1.What Deer?
2.I would hunt a lot in the rut 3.I can not, unless I put a fence up, hmmmm, but I would try to keep as many doe's asI could in my area. Only thing I know draws in a smart old buck us a hot doe. Works everytime!!! |
RE: How would you handle it... poll...kinda
1. In the words of Moulder...Trust no one.
2. Hunt everyday you can, but hunt smart. Play the wind currents, don't make rookie mistakes. One bad hunt and he can leave ya forever. 3. Find the Major food source. I can bait with protein feed and corn here, but when the Acorns start to drop the deer vanish from my feed to the mast crop and they stay there till it's gone. And as so the does go....so do the bucks. And lastly |
RE: How would you handle it... poll...kinda
oops... and lastly..........where exactly is this property you were referring to?????? You know, just between us...LOL
Good luck to all |
RE: How would you handle it... poll...kinda
1.Aint no deer out here!!
2.Obsessivley!!! 3.Feed the does, keep them around, he will be around!!! |
RE: How would you handle it... poll...kinda
1 My hunting partner, I trust him
2 Cautiously, I'd be trying real hard not to pressure him or hunt him unless the conditions were perfect. 3 see #2 |
