1)My dad, I would be just as happy if he got him as I would be if I killed the buck

2)Set up in a popular travel route in the mornings in the thickest stuff I can find and then set up between bedding and major food source in afternoon, where there is hopefully a great funnel.

3)Pray and hope no one spooks him out.

I'd probably tella couple close friends and my brothers. If one of them gets the deer I'm happy for them. I've put people on the biggest deer I've seen in hopes they'd get him. The biggest ever was a monster 11 point. I'd already shot 3 bucks and wanted my friend to get one. I put up a stand for him and slipped out. I walked him in the next day and he blew it.That's hunting.[&:][&:]I'd hunt him very cautiously, only when conditions are right and I have time to spend there. The only way you can do anything that "MIGHT" help keep him around is not to pressure him too much. Stealthy in and out when conditions are optimum.

1. My father, as he would be thrilled at my having the opportunity to bag such a large deer and my best friend/hunting partner/camera man, so he could film me when I shot it.

2. I'd wait for the rut and hunt the does. Big deer get stupid when they're horny. He's bound to make a mistake at some point, the rest would be up to me.

3. Nothing. Its legal to bait here, but I wouldn't do it. The farthest I would go in that direction would be to use some sort of estrous scent/tarsal scent. Get him thinking a hot doe is around my stand location and that another buck is tailing her. He'll slip up.

I would also just tell maybe family and trusted friends...
