Default Help with Summit Viper Seat

I bought a new Viper to use this year and I am having some difficulty with the seat on it. Mainly how do you guys position the seat when you are climbing and carrying it. When climbing it seems to flop around a lot and gets in the way. Is there a special way to strap it down, or position it so it doesn't get in the way? Or has anyone just tried removing it completely and attaching it once you are in the tree?

Just currious to see what others have done....I'm still trying to figure out all the details with it.

I take the seat and fold it on top of itself. Then use the bungee cords and wrap them around the seat.

I leave the seat on, but I fold it around itself, strap the bungee around it, then I bungee it around one of the uprights (the 2 pieces of metal that make the V on the back of the stand and support from the arm rest down to the teeth in the tree). This keps the seat out of the way nicely for me. I was batting with it the first couple times I used my Goliath but now this method seems to work out well. Taking it completely off of course would work, but I don't think it will be necessary.

I just went through this with my son, Thursday evening. I got a little ticked at him for not knowing what he was doing with it....BEFORE we got in the woods, Thursday evening. I gave him the stand MONTHS ago. He's had time to figur eit out for himself. I had to show him how to pack it out, too.

What these guys said works, fine. I'd guess just about everyone does "something" differently with these stands. The only way to perfect YOUR method is through repetition.
