I appreciate the comments. Didn't mean to make it sound too bad. Fact is, that's just part of hunting in Florida. It was a little wetter than usual right now. The opener is in two weeks, so it won't dry up enough to make a big difference, but again, that's the way it is here. The thermacell helps, actually it works pretty well, but that's after 10 minutes of warming up while you are in your stand. I can tell you, from the moment i step out of my truck or off my wheeler, they will eat your butt alive. If you can tolerate them long enough to get to your stand, up the tree and the cell to warm you'll be fine, but i can tell you, it's a long 10-15 minutes or more until then.

But hey, Florida is the capital of the monster bucks, so it's worth it, lol.

Sorry to hear that man. I would say come up here to MD but thats a little bit of a drive and i dont really have a place for you to stay.
