i bought a couple of EZ hangers for this season. they fold out three times and also have hooks on them so you can hang other things on it.

I used to use the little scew-in hook but after using a Realtree EZ hanger thats all I use. There are many differant ones one the market and I'mm sure they all work about the same. I have roughly 25 permanant portables in the woods.........instead of buying 25 I built 25 of them! They were so easy and they really work good! I do wish a company would make a lightweight aluminum one for packing in when your not in a permanent stand. HHHHMMMMM.....I just got a new project!

Good Luck!

Sometimes I just use a branch that's already there.

I really like the easy hanger, If I don't have a convenient branch to hang the bow on that is.

Most of the time though, it's on my lap.

I use a utility hook to hold the bow while I'm moving around (eating or peeing) Otherwise I hold my bow on my lap at all times.

I use a sling and hold it until I can't stand it anymore due to cold or just the need to stretch. When I do hang it, it is on just a screw-in hook.

I use a harness similiar to the one in the link below. Mine is no longer sold. It works great, holding the bow in front of you. I can stand or sit with the harness. I use a screw in type hook when I'm not hunting (setting-up,eating,etc.)

I lay my bow sideways across the rail of my Summit stand. MUCH less movement needed to grab it and draw.
