I can't remember his name.......but the owner of Thompson Center Arms (yeah...the guy in all of their commercials) fell from a tree stand and couldn't walk for 2-3 years. HIS story....as with many others....is very TRUE.....VERY REAL.....and should be a lesson to us all, too.

For $89....I bought three climbing systems from Summit, this year.....to leave on the trees at my hang-on stand locations. Protection from the ground to the top....without having to use the lineman's belt. I figure it's $89 worth of insurance that is pretty cheap.

Have a great year guys....and thanks for the reminder(s).

Jeff

times change and so dose the modern hunting compound bows . the times of 50-60 # bows is past history . at 71# the force of the black Eagle was to much for a cheap cast metal rest....i did not name the company that made the rest , it was not their fault IMHO it was mine ...to combine a top of the line high speed compound with a cheap rest of lesser quality was out right dum ..at the time i just wanted to start target shooting . i payed the price 100 times over ....i am typeing this because i can .....i was very lucky ....i got the chance to learn from this missteak, some never do ....stay safe stay free
