what's your most hated word or phrase on hunting shows
#21
The most hated wording in hunting shows, in order:
1.) "Horns" when they should say antlers.
2.) Poor grammar, such as "I had went" or "we was." (It makes us all look illiterate and uneducated.)
3.) Advertising and promoting products immediately after the shot or recovery.
4.) Fixating about the antler size.

Another thing I dislike are on hunting shows and DVDs with rifle hunts on them.
Mainly on Mulie and Elk hunts, the hunters will talk about how difficult the stalk was -- after taking a 200+ yard shot.

Most hated word.... Harvest
You didn't harvest anything dummy. You just plain killed it, pure and simple. You want to harvest something, gopull some onions. I remember harvesting someNorth Vietnam dudes back in 68.[&:]Whatever.
Second would be.... MANAGEMENT BUCK
Give me a break.
Another thorn, like a show I watched today. A guy takes his kid to a high fence operation in Michigan. So they sit on fields in towers and watch dozens of macho bucks parade by. After the kid shoots a big buck(oh I'm impressed, a great white hunter) the father has the audacity to state, "We don't care if we necessarily "Harvest" an animal. It's the outdoor experience we're after. Just being out with Mother Nature is what it's all about. So why did you bother to pay several thousand dollars for a place that states, "Guaranteed Hunt". Give me a break.
Another pet peeve, This is what it's all about. Get a life.
Is that black slang or just REDNECK.
