Yes of course. If they paid for their license, and offered for you to fill the tag for them then why not? They paid for their license. They paid for the tag. It's not like your taking a deer for free. So yes of course.

Maybe not legal but if a buddy or I were hunting together and one of us had already shot a buck then either of us would be willing to tag another buck they shot with our tag. Of course they had better shoot a trophy buck because nobody would want to give up their buck tag so somebody else could shoot a forker or something.
I guess you could say it's a misplaced sense of right and wrong but if I had already shot a buck and a Pope & Young buck walked by I would shoot it and get my buddy to tag it but if we had both used our buck tags I would let it walk. I guess it's the party hunting mentality I grew up with and being new to bowhunting haven't adapted but if we've got tags to fill we're going to fill them.
