Default Need new release...

Well, I just finished decking out my new Bowtech Liberty and want to purchase a new release. My winns freeflight has seen it's better day. I don't like back tension for hunting. Any suggestions on what I might take a look at?

Personally after looking over a pile of releases I purchased the Tru Ball Copperhead and love it however I hear fantastic things about the Scott Wildcat

Truglo Copperhead

I would highly recommend most of the Scott releases, I have the Sabretooth and like it alot. I feel safer with the buckle type more than velcro.
Rob, you really use the velcro type? Ewwwwwww! I just don't trust it when pulling that kind of weight. Plus I don't want any velcro anywhere near where I'm hunting. JMO

YUP, I'd look at the Scotts before the TruBall. Honestly, Truballs have too much noise in them. They squeek and creak and make noise. I'd go Scott or one of the upper echelon releases. You want something that'll last and is adjustable. I use the Scott Lil Goose because it has a small jaw the fits easily in my loop.

I have the Scott Lil Goose also. It works great off the string, they are adjustable and have a nice trigger but the only complaint with mine is that I didn't get the one that can tuck up out of the way.

Thanks guys. I will peak at the Scotts by sounds of things. I appreciate your info. I couldn't be happier with my new setup.

David, my release makes zero noise once on but it's noisy coming off when the hunts over and I'm still trying to be quiet....that brings up the velcro....I didn't know the release came in a buckle til afterward....I'd recommend the buckle strap.
