I've never had it happen to me (knock on wood)! I've seen it happen to others , but with no injuries. Hope your o.k.! A guy I know that had that happen with his compound was really gun shy (or bow shy) for a good month after that , it really affected his shooting. I guess ya just have to climb back on the horse , so to speak.

Happened to me this year w/ my Oneida - 10 years of constant shooting, the yoke cable came aprart at full draw (while practicing from a treestand). I was glad I had my harness on, a bow coming apart at full draw, kind of makes you jump back a bit.
luckily, I was not injured.

Sorry to hear it happended while hunting and that you were hurt. Hope you get back on the horse, if it seems to be a problem, consider a different style bow.

I left my old bear recurve in hot vehicle one day and it was to much for it and had the same thing happen. Mine broke while trying to string it. The glue on limb part will not take heat.

Sorry to hear that. I've had it happen twice, luckily i wasn't injured either time. The first time was an old Bear recurve, top limb broke when I pulled it back, it twisted as it broke so it didn't hurt me. The other a compound, pulled it back and a cable broke and the top limb broke. I don't know how i came out of that unscathed? A scary experience for sure. Hang in there and good luck.
