i have been noticing that i have placed my blazers closer to the nock than most people. i always thought the close to the end of the arrow the better. is there a rule of thumb here? thanks for any thoughts or opinions.

I place mine about 1/2" from the end of the arrow shaft.
I don't think there is any rule for the distance.

The farther back the arrow, the better any vane will stabilize.....I just use the last mark on my Grayling jig...Not sure how far that is, I suspect it's around and inch.

I fletch mine at one inch from the nock it works good for me,,,I use the E-Z fletcher and one in. is as close as you can put them

Okay, my Blazers are exactly 1 1/8 inch from my nock, that's the 4th line on a Bitzenberger straight clamp.
