I use a Tru-Ball Copperhead and it absolutely rocks. I think Tru-Ball is one of the best releases out there for the money.

When it comes to archery equipment there is no such thing as "BEST" anything. Only what works well for a particular shooter. You are sking a question that thousnads of shooters can answer, and NONE of them have shot every release on the market to be able to make an answer based on experience.

Go to a shop and try every release they have. Then you can draw your own conclusions.

Another vote for the Scott Little Goose. Been using mine for 3 years now. The Little Bitty Goose is good too.

I use a T.R.U. Ball Short N' Sweet. I like the buckle, no velcro to catch my coat in the woods and the open head is an advantage because I can attach the release to my loop without looking down. I just feel for the loop and slip the head over it.

I have been thinking about getting Carter's version of the open head, just because of the sear systen. It is smooth as a baby's butt! It's 30 dollars more than what I have, but I'm thinking it'll be worth it.

TruFire Judge for me...exceptionally nice trigger that is fully adjustable. I tried the Copperhead XT in an attempt to pick up a little more speed (trigger is moved closer to the bow string). Problem was, I have small hands and even when it was adjusted as short as possible, I couldn't comfortably reach the trigger. Best of luck,

Red
