Roger Raglin

How is everyone always an expert on what shows are fair chase and what shows are pen hunts? I have never seen a show of Roger Raglin that leads me to believe he is hunting in a pen. Jimmy Houston is the only one I can pretty much vouch for saying he is a scumbag. If you don't like the guy for whatever reason just say you don't like them for that reason. Don't just come to a forum and dog somebody just because you think they shoot pets. I saw the same thing with Ted Nugent the other day. Sure some of these guys are a little out on a limb. Unless you know for a fact don't make assumptions.

I like his old stuff. Yeah, he's hyper, but it's kind of funny and back in the 80's just about the only interesting video out there. I stopped watching his stuff when he became more interested in African and exotic hunts than whitetails. Yes, he may hunt high price hunts now but at one time he was a residential painter and was paying his own way. Now his videos and speaking tours probably allow him to go to high priced places to hunt. If that's not what you'd do with that kind of money, ok, just don't knock someone else's choice to hunt there.

This post is in no way meant to slam Roger Raglin at all. I like watching his shows even though he does use the "Jimminy Christmas" phrase a bunch. This post is to say that I believe he did hunt fenced deer in Ohio at KG Trophy Deer Hunt. They had the website up after the show (www.ohiotrophydeer.com) and I checked it out. This outfit does have 500+ acres of fair chase land available but you can also buy a buck depending on inches of antler. I suppose it is possible that he took the buck on fair chase land but I really don't think so. But that is his choice if that is indeed what he did. Like I said, I'm not trying to slander Roger in any way but wanted to make aware that there is a possibility that the buck was not fair chase. By the way, the buck was a heavy 14 or 15pt I think and Roger "had a good day".
