Default Single caliper release

Iwould like topurchase a new release and I have no experience with the single caliper- I have a dual now and just wanted to know if there are any advantages/disadvantages.

Default RE: Single caliper release

I've heard that single caliper releases were good if you shoot off the string, less wear on the servings. I don't use a loop since I'm already somewhat draw length challenged, and I shoot a Scott Mongoose (single caliper.) It works for me.
