Score on Gold Tips!!!!

Stopped at the local "Sports Emporium" to get little nucker some school shoes and found they had recently added archery equipment to their inventory. In fact they were setting up the arrow saw and fletching stations while I was there. Been looking for some Gold Tips since the minor trouble with my Bemans, and they had Expedition hunters - 3 for 12 bucks. That's $48 a dozen! I got 3 just to try them out and the salesman (older gentleman)asked what size and what fletchings. I asked the price on Blazers since I have some at home and didn't want to spend any more than I had to. His reply was, "Son, I'm selling you arrows. Arrows that have no vanes or nocks are called sticks. I don't charge for anything extra except wraps, which we don't have yet."
So I grab 3 more and got 1/2 dozen GTs cut, inserts, fletched with Blazers for 24 bucks!
Told him I'd be back next week for the rest of that dozen.

WOW that is great! I(normally) Love buying things from older guys. They arent trying to sell you the lastest and greatest. They give you advice that they have found useful over the years. Thanks you old geezers
