RE: FINALLY!!!! Got my '03 and '04 Bucks Back
That's central Md for ya. They were both taken off of some property in Howard County with corn and soy bean fields all around. I have no idea why their racks weren't bigger but I have seen that a lot around here. Seems like there is everything needed to grow some monsters but they just don't get very heavy. Might be genetics. The problem is probably from the "If it's brown, its down" mentality. So, these two are good examples of nice bucks for around here. Sure, I have seen a few bigger but I see more smaller ones. There is no such thing as QDM in MD.
Now the Eastern Shore, that's a whole different picture.

No, I never got Dagger. I had him about 50 to 60 yards away but no closer.
My dad (TJJF) got that one buck I showed a picture of which was a 7 x 5 but I never got a crack at a buck over 140 which was what I was shooting for. Had 130 class bucks but none had mass yet.
We don't know if Dagger is alive. This was the first year we haven't found his sheds since he was 3 years old and this year he will be 7 years old if he is still alive.
If he is still alive he will be one big 4 x 4 for ND pushing mid 150's.
