Okay heres the deal, i decided that this browning is just making me mad and im alreadly tired of it, nothing but problems so far.Well, im thinking after deer season, im gonna sell my Browning F5 Tornado Fully setup, what should i ask, heres what ive got on it. Left hand, 50-60lbs 24-30 inch draw Browning F5 Tornado retail for left hand $380.Heres the accessories, Tru Glo brite site, which i love $36, qs wb $40 something, S coil stabilizer $20, wrist sling, string leeches,string loop, peep.I havent even got the bow back from the factory for the second time so itll be fairly new.Im thinking bowtech tomkat, from huntersfriend, i dont have a ross or elite dealer close so i think itll be a tomkat.Whats your opinions and what should i ask for this bow? i need some prices, itll be in great condition because i take very very good care of my hutning equipment. So you guys give me some price and sorry for the long post

i'm not to good with price guessing, but i will tell you that the bowtech tomkat is a great bow that is hard to beat. If your planning on ordering the ready to hunt package from huntersfriend make sure there aren't any bowtech dealers within 30 miles of your zip code area. This may be different for just the bow, but i called in to order a Bowtech Tomkat package for my dad about a week ago, and they said they couldn't ship it to my location, since i was within 30 miles of a bowtech dealer. Hope that all made sense. You can check ifthere is a bowtech dealer within 30 miles of your house onthe huntersfriend website.Thus me and my dad went to a bowtechdealer and got the bow that day. It's an excellent bow for the money.

yeah i just figured that out it would be much easier just to buy it from huntersfriend because of the seem to know what they are doing compared to my archery shops

yeah i'm sure they would do a great job of setting the bow up for you. In mauser06 post titled thanks dad on page 3 now, he bought a reflex highlander, his first bow from huntersfriend, and has already got a robinhood. Now thats quite impressive, great job mauser.

Honestly...your probably not going to get near out of it what you have stuck into it. I would keep it as a backup bow.

thanks illonisbow....i owe ALOT of credit to huntersfriend. i recomend them highly. i almost went with the tomkat, but i never got to see one or draw one. i drew the highlander at dick's sporting goods and it just felt right and felt good in my hand. im very impressed in their tuning job. i also like the fact that even if you order a ready to hunt package you can swap gear and add more and subtract. say you got a nice release you like they will take it off. all you HAVE to order is the case and arrows(which they tune with and do your stats with) they told me arrow weight, speed, KE...EVERYTHING. i emailed them the robin hood pics and story. their testimonial page is full of stories like mine. believe it or not i got to shoot my friends 3d target today, and shot about 10 arrows at 35yds. all would been backstraps on the grill. this is only day 4 of me shooting in my life. im impressed, and i love my highlander. dont overlook reflex. im sure the tomkat is a great bow, i just never got to see one. it is wisper quiet next to my buddys bow. granted its a couple years old, but he got moreviband sound killers on it then i have on mine. i was kinda surprised he shot decint. his draw is TOO long, bad form, old bow, beat up arrows..all his fletchings were falling off. 15yds hes deadly..i can tell thats where he practices most. my local bowshop is also not too good. if i ever have to buy another bow ill go through huntersfriend again i bet. also saved myself a bunch of money. if i ordered everything through cabelas i would spent almost 200 more and would still needed it tuned and set up!


i kinda agree with xtec shooter. a backup bow wouldnt be a bad idea. alot can go wrong with bows and their accessories. it would be nice and maybe handy to have a backup bow laying around that will be ready to roll incase you mess up your main bow. but if you need the money or something try and sell it, i just know resale value isnt too good on bows.

If you can get $125 out of your bow you would probably be doing good. I had almost the same bow as you, and they do not hold their value unless they are stamped Mathews, or Hoyt in my area. This is the reason why my Browning is a backup bow. I won't let anyone have it for that price, as I know it kills very well.
