Once you chew up any layered target and start getting pass thru's just put a couple ratchet straps around the thing an tighten it down, you'll double the life of the target! Dicks has cheap $30 layered targets, that I've done this to. It works great! BTW If your broadhead sticks out the back don't just pull it thru, that screws up the target really fast, unscrew the BH and just remove the shaft.

u should be a bit more specific when u say "yellow jacket" becuase morrel makes a yellow jacket fp target as well as a yellow jacket broadhead target, i resently bought the fp target and so far have had no complains.

I have a Morrel six shooter. It has sides for broadhead use only and field tips. Had the target for two seasons never had a blow through yet. It's a little tough at first to remove the arrows but once it is broke in, it's great.

For field points, I don't think you can beat the Morrell Yellow Jacket Bag target. I agree with PSESilverhawk55 that the YJ broadhead target is great when using heads.

thanx guys.....i went to Dicks sporting goods this morning to shop for a target. holy cow...80+ for a block......they have their own layered target though. northeast outfitters or something...their house brand...i felt both the block and their version..both seem identical...they had a few diffrent bag targets. one was called the Carbon Giant. felt nice and full. had a built in frame..nice big target for 40$..i bought that one. i know i cant shoot broadheads into it...but i need ALOT of practice and need a BIG target right now lol...ill probably buy their brand of the block later for broadhead practice....its on sale at 30$...should be fine for broadhead practice for this year..

so far after 20-30 shot i like the bag...arrows stop before half way in and come out with 2 fingers..pretty nice....time to get out there and fill it with more holes!
