Default Sorta speechless......stunned......

I have a good friend and business associate who's a giant of a man (I have photos of his bow elk harvests that he guides and hunts on).....call me yesterday.....and break down while doing so. He told me there's something wrong with him....and I can't help but think he's dying.

I got a call at lunch from another friend. he told me a mutual friend of ours called him on the way back from the doctor's office. He has A.L.S.,,,...and he hasn't even told his wife....nor does he know how, right now HOW he's gonna be able to tell her (they have a 6 yr old).

Guys.....all I know right now is love the ones close to you....and tell 'em so. I'm not toomach to tell my male friends I love them, too. I do it, often.

There's no need to respond to this.....none at all.....just keep things in perspective.....and love hard.

It's hard to get news like that, its even harder to share that news to your loved ones.
All we can do as friends is to let them know how much they are loved and to keep them in our prayers.
May God Bless you & your friend and everyone that reads this.
AMEN.

Sorry to hear about your friend. I wasn't familiar with the disease until I just googled it.

God bless.

Very sorry to hear this. ALS took my father-in-law 10 years ago and there is not much of a worse way to go. My wife quit here job here in IN to go down to TX and take care of him until the end. He was 56, the exact average age of ALS victims, and lasted about 2 years. Lou Gerhig lasted only a year I believe.

How old is your friend?

Sorry for the bad news. I lost my closest uncle to ALS about 7 years ago. He got it at age 47, but he lasted 9 years. The last 4 he was confined to a bed, but he really wanted to live and see his grand children grow up some.He used a computer controlled with his eyes to comunicate. It was slow but it worked. There is a lot of help out there if you look for it. Best Wishes.
