You can allso try MapCard.com its a paid site but IMO well worth it.
It has some great tools like gps cornates you just click on the aerial photo ortopo map and you have your cornates you can setup routes and it tells you the distances to each cornates great toolsfor a place you have never been to.

It's just through MSN - the aerial photos are pretty fair, with the roadways conspicuously marked. I use it a lot for hunting/scouting.
Just click and drag and zoom. Click the "Aerial Photo" button to see the pictures. Some of the metropolitan areas are the really good, color images
