Both my parents got me into hunting... my dad got me into bowhunting....
First deer with a rifle at age 9.... Promptly decided to try with a bow, mainly cause I enjoyed shooting and I was physically capable of drawing a legal peak weight by the time I was 10.... My mom would sit in a box blind 100 or more yards away, while I sat in the treestand. Untill I turned 12 and could hunt without direct adult supervision. Hunted a few years untill high school, then being in band and playing sports really put a crimp on my free time... Still shot as much as I could but just never could get out there to hunt. Since I graduated in 2000, I've been more concerned with rent and groceries so I havn't been able to buy new equipment... Luckily My dad and I should be able to go this year. The bug is eatin away at me.
Never did score with a bow, hopefully that will change this year.

My dad did about 25-30 years ago. I mostly target shot and bowfished for carp and gar. I pretty much stopped when I left for college. I just bought a new bow and will bow hunt for the first time in 20 years this fall.

i decided to try bowhunting last year after talking with my boss (family friend). and also i wanted more time in the woods. now that i can drive, im hoping to get out at least once a week this year. this is only my second season and i have the itch REALLY bad! now that i am getting into bowhunting, my dad decided that this year he is gonna start bowhunting again. he stopped when i was born. hopefully this year i will tag one with a bow.
