Default buckblaster

while paging through Cabelas archery catalog i was looking at the diffrent broadheads. i found one that shocked me. the "Rocket BuckBlaster" its a fixed 3 blade head with 3 "optional" mechanical blades that expand to 2 3/4 inches!!!! they follow the fixed blade cut. seems like a decint idea but i think they took it kinda far. i could see MAYBE 2 inches, but 2 3/4..that seems like a HUGE hole for anything to cut. anyone use them or every try them out?? i think it would be kinda interesting. id be to concerned about penetration. thats ALOT of cutting. even straight tissue thats a BIG area to cut. plus itll reach out to more bones etc. curious if anyone ever tried them or anything. heres a link so you can see them http://www.rocketaerohead.com/broadh...roadheads.html

A good friend of mine shot a doe w/ one a couple years back. Complete pass through. She didn't go far, I can tell you that.

I think you'd want to aim a little further back with that to miss the shoulder.

thanx for the replies...kinda interesting. i think they might be GOOD turkey medicane. i wasnt planning on using them just curious about them and if anyone used them. im sure if they opened properly and all they would be DEADLY and devistating if you got a GOOD hit and good penetration. but even razor sharp i kinda have my worries about something that large getting deep enough. and although it isnt nessicary i still like 2 holes over 1 if the game doest fall within sight.

I'd recommend a LOT of KE in your setup if you want to shoot those.
