It wouldn't surprise me at all to see Walmart on the list of sponsors. They started selling America's soul long before the WHA was ever around, but that's another story for another time.
'Nother story... Yeah, I'd like to take that one up- Walmart being one of the worst things our country has ever seen...

Am I the only one seeing the differences in 'green-hunting' and WHA?
No,you're not, Shannon. A grant-money funded team of biologists and researchers are going to Africa to tranquilize wildlife in order to study them. Rather than paying one more team member to come and actually shoot the dart, you can pay them to do it. I'd say that's a smart and creative method of funding, and nothing like what wha is scheming up.

Alright, so here goes...
First, let me say I'm new to hunting, I'm glad I waited (unintentionally) until now, because this issue has shown me more than I could understand from any amount of bow practice. I'm planning my first deer hunt this fall, I'm here to learn as much as I can between now and then. I'll have to admit, a few weeks ago I would have been all for the WHA, but I see now where I would have been wrong in that...
NASCAR isn't about runnin' 'shine, WWE isn't about wrestling or fighting, Simon Cowell knows who the next American Idol is going to be long before auditions start, Cris Angell and David Blaine use computer graphics to performtheir tricks, reality TV is actually set up for the camera,... I could go on and on...
But these all relate to games, whereas hunting is literally a life and death situation.

Hunting is a spiritual endeavor involving man's attempt to carry out God's wishes for the direction of life on this world. God gave us (humans) dominion over the other creatures He placed on this earth. With that authority comes a responsibility to thank God and respect His creation byapproaching the beasts with the knowledge that they, too, are involved in God's plan. Hunting is also spiritual in the sense that before and after the hunt, it is in fact worship when we thank God for his blessing. Surely nothing can be more fulfilling than knowing by direct evidence that God has fulfilled our needs. Furthermore, animals are living, breathing creatures God placedhere in a harmonic balance which scientists like to call "ecosystem". Spirituality demands perfection in this ecosystem, explaining why some feel the urge to hunt while others do not; still more people may change direction and either start or stop hunting during mid-life. In other words, anytime we come in contact with wildlife, we are in fact dealing with the creatures of God's creation and must show through our respect of such that we return the love we have been shown.Sohunting is our God given right, but must be approached with dignity and grace.

Now I write a good bit, but that was a tough little piece to put out! I can't consider myself a "hunter", but if my senses are right I think that's what a lot of your arguments are trying to say, but unable to put it in words. As always, if I'm wrong, let me know in what way. Like all the other replies in this post, I'm getting long-winded here, so let's just stop where we lay in sp

I just don't get it!

It's NOT hunting. Obviously there arenot any "real hunters" that think this could possibly be beneficial to hunting.

One cannot teach the true values and aspects of hunting with a television show. These things have to be experienced first-hand and they have nothing to do with money or fame.

If these tranqy darts are harmless, I make the motion that the promoters of WHA all bend over and take one in the rump and then tell us how it feels after the the vet wakes 'em up. Or better yet, let 'em run, and we'll chase 'eminto the corner of the fence.

I'd put money on there being an awfullypainful bruise after the shot. Even at only 100 ft/sec, that's 68 mph!

I am a new comer and just learning what i am doing. I have been reading these things and I dont understand why you are being so mean about this whole thing. I live in Charlevoix and i can say that i know David Farbman. I dont know him that well, but he used to spend his summers just blocks from where i grew up.

First of all, he is a hardcore hunter for sure. My brother used to hunt with him although i never got the chance to. i think that he knew i had a crush on him and he had a girlfriend at the time that also hunted. okay sorry i am not trying to be girly but whatever.

I think all of you seem a little silly to me as you are buildingthe WHA name huge right now. i mean if that is really the intent then that is a good thing but if not you have no idea how much you are helping him. personally, i am a fan of WHA and a biogger fan of David Farbman, who is only like the hottest guy in the world...

Okay, here is what i know about David Farbman. He is a very intense guy, he is very driven, and he also is a bit of a loner although everyone including my brother followed him around. He likes to party a little bit, or at least used to and he always has the beautiful girls around him. He never acted like a rich kid, as I think his dad really never had that much money and I think thta his brother and him have made all of the money over the last 5 years or so. he really is a down to earth cool guy that dresses like he is anything but rich. In fact, he always was wearing camo even back in the old days when it was much uglier then today.

I think that if you ever tried to see who would get the 1st dart off you would be sleeping before you evr loaded your gun, he is a serious hunter. My dad used to call him Davey Crocket because he constantly was in the woods and he also once had this silly looking tail on his hair. David, if you read this it is Nadine how are you honey from Eaton street, Craigs hot sis, u know the one...

WHA team and i think i know some of you like Jay, good luck with your venture and everyone in charlevoix area is rooting for you! We will also be bringing more of the charlevoixhunting hotties like Brooke, jenny, and Samanthaonto this site to help support you closer to fall and the boyz of course. Like everything you have touched since when you had those yo yo's, to the tee shirts, to the real estate, you always turn everything to gold. You go cutie, you go...

Go WHA!

A Charlevoix lover of David Farbman!

I want to be a WHA girl, shoot i want to hunt on that thing. i hear the bucks are huge @ Lost Arrow. David, Jeff says he is in if the money is right enough. Just kidding you know how Jeff gets total buck fever.

I gotta go cook for the family and tonight we are eating a little bear that my brother shot. Girls, talk to me and throwq me some messages. all these guys have just a little too much testosterone going on for this girl.

boyz, relax and stop taking yourselves so seriously.

oh yeah, if i hear 1 more time about how these are magnificent creatures and should not be shot not be commercialized i am going to puke. all i know is since i was 14 years old i like shooting them, i like eating them, and i like hunting for them! I am a trophy girl and i got the "Rack" TO PROOVE IT!

GO WHA! Finally something new in hunting! It is like lifting a ton of bricks off of my chest and i can breath again!

Gotta go be a mom now!

Wow cheerleaders too. Will the cheerleaders be inside or outside the fence? I used to be disgusted now I am amused.

The rumor is that there are 6 WHA girls thats all i know. i think they ask questions and trivia and stuff and there is i think a female hunter or thats what someone in town said last night. i think she is from texas and is supposed to be a rock star! I think its hot, but hey maybe i am a bit freaky!

Anyways, i just think in all seriousness that this thing will bring more kids out to hunt. It is working already with my 12 year old Kyle, and the kids from his middle school cant stop talking about it.

i think its way cool, and so does my husband and all of our friends. i dont get why you guys dont lighten up and look at the positives. Oh, sorry ill be more serious... i know this is a serious place for serious hunters, lol!

Oops, i am married and im not supposed to say that either.

I am perhaps drinking too much wine tonight, but you know what UB40 says about red wine.

i cant comment on the fence but my guess would be outside as that perfume would scare the derr lol!
