How far do you live from your hunting area?
#11
I hunt out my back door, typically right inside the woodline from my back yard. As a matter of fact I had a 10 point (the big wide rascal that I have been posting pics of since last year), 2-8 points, a 6 point and 2 doe in my backyard yesterday evening. Why would I need to go anywhere else?

I have one private Honey Hole that is 5 mins from my house. I only hunt this spot early season and I'm the only one who hunts it. My main area is 13 miles away and is State Park land so I don't have far to travel.

were i hunt depends so much on the wind if i have an east or a north wind then right behind my house ,just out side of the safety zone about 200 yds from my door.
buti seldom hunt more than two times in the same spot then i give it a rest for several days .so I'm always trying to find hot spots .i don't bate for bow season so i do alot of scouting to find out were the deer are. and i get 3 to 4 deer a year. all taken from climber tree stands.
