Weather has been great for growing this yeear in MI

Here is one of my plots

it has

BuckWheat
Corn
SoyBeans
Sorgrom
Sunflower

nice. one question. did you plant all that together or did you sperate the corn etc? just curious cause a friend of mine did that one year and the corn smothered all the other growth and he ended up with just a nasty not to productive corn field. deer still came but it wasnt the outcome he was expecting.

That looks good. Its as been way to dry in Alabama to have a food plot that looks that good.

I did it all together, but did not plant a lot of corn or sunflower. I should not that problem. Very good point, and is why I spread it out. What I planted is called Michigan Mix, it comes all together in a bag. Let me get the numbers for you on the% of the mix.

It's always nice to see what others are doing for their deer and QDM programs. Congrats and best of luck to ya this fall.

I have a few plots that seem to be doing well this year despite a serious lack of rain.

The Tecomote Labab Plus is really springing up and starting to look awesome.



One of my Brassicas blends that was recently planted also seems to be coming on strong and should generate some great post frost hunting this fall, especially after the 90 acresof corn is picked.

What are you guys doing to keep the deer from eating it to the groung?
Ourplots are being tore up. We've put 5foot round baskets round and keep moving them to letit grow.
