2 man ladder stand? or two hang on stands?
Hey all,
This will be my first season using atreestand. My wife would like to come with me this season and tape the hunts. I am not sure if we should get a 2 man ladder stand or if we should get two hang on stands.
What are your thoughts on this, two man stand or 2 individual stands? Any help with this would be great!!!

I would go for the double ladder stand if you'll be hunting a single spot , two hang ons or climbers if you'll be hunting multiple spots . Have you also considered buying or constructing a ground blind ? Your shots will look much more dramatic from ground level , especially if your wife is shooting from directly behind you like they do on tv .

2 hangons. This is how I taught my wife and my boy how to deer hunt. Less noticeable staggered in a tree, way easier to setup(two man ladders are heavy!!!), and cheaper to buy to economy hangons than a two man ladder. Plus when they arenot filming with you, you have two hangons for different setups.HCH

I would have to say the two man ladder stand if you are not going to be moving it often, they are heavy. I purchased one a few years ago with thought of bringing my boys someday. I tell you though, being a bigger guy I should have gotten one a long time ago. I love hunting in it by myself. Lots of room.

I would stick with two hang on stands fro a more realistic hunting experience for your wife and i have found that a ladder stand unless way up in the air can be pretty suspicious
