Default SKB Freedom Bow Case

Hello All,

Have any of you tried this bow case out?

This bow case is advertised as a double bow case but I couldn't even get one bow, a quiver (detached)and arrows in it. I had to return it. Anyone else with different experiences? (bow is a mathews fx, standard 5 arrow quiver, and 8 carbon arrows)

It sucks because I thought I had finally found a reasonably priced hard bow case with locks.

Anyone know of a place to get a hard bow case with locks for a reasonable price?

Thanks
Tom

I had the same problem with the Freedom case! I returned mine to Bass Pro and pick up a SportLock Double bow case. Model # is 00054. It has plenty of room for my Tribute arrows quiver and other gear, and it was the same price as the SKB Freedom case.

The SportLock has 4 hasps with key locks just like a regular SKB case.

Good luck!

I don't believe that they had that case at the local Bass Pro. I'm going to have to check it out next time I'm in there. I looked it up online and it looks pretty good. Are the things holding the arrow made out of foam? How long have you had it?

Yes the arrow holders are made out of foam and it has a rigid pad that separate the two bow compartments. Both sides have arrow slots that are recessed so they are out of the way of the bow. BPS didn't have the case out when I purchased the freedom case, but it was out when I returned the freedom.

It is basically built exactly like the original SKBs. I'm really glad that I switched.

Don't overlook vanguard, I have one and LOVE that case. A bit cheaper than SKB but the same quality.
