I have a Beta Master Shooting Chrony and really like it. The "guts" are on a 20' cord so if you happen to shoot your chrono you don't ruin the computer part of it ... just the frame and sensors.
I put mine on a tall camera tripod and it works well. I can use it for gun / reloading or bow with no problems.

I have a F1 also and as far as I know it works great! I use it for my arrows and I hand load. My hand loads come out similar to published data, give or take a few fps.
They are not that expensive.

I got the ProChrono "digital" from Cabelas for $99 last year, and it works great for bow and gun. It costs the same as the "pal" version, but with more features like better string memories. Also, it screws into a camera tripod...which is a great, great feature when trying to shoot a bow through it.
