I did the same thing a couple months ago, went into the proshop thinking I was going to walk out with a mathews. After I shot everyone in the place,(dont get me wrong they were nice bows)they asked me to try the hoyts. Shot the entire tech line and the magnatech felt like an old friend. bought it on the spot and couldnt be happier. Shoots straight, fast, and quiet. I know its not what inquired about, but thought i would share it with ya.

I shoot a HavocTec. I paid the same amount for mine a year ago. I love it for hunting, for indoor shooting or 3D I would recommend the CyberTec. Love the no recoil feel in my hand!

An excellent bow. I had one last season and was very impressed with the low level of noise and vibration. Speed was pretty decent and comparable to most other bows in its class. Hoyt has kept it in the lineup for this year so that should say something about it. The 2003 models have the new Cam and a Half eccentric system on them though.
