Default General Camo discussion

Since we were hi-jacking PABowhntr's Video thread I thought I'd start a new one just for the camo discussion.

Went to the Predator website. I've always liked the pattern but I wanted something besides cotton. I wish they made a fleece version. The buck suede line doesn't come in Fall Brown pattern either. Seems I can't get that combo I'd like. Wouldn't mind a set of pants and light jacket but I'm not going to pay that much for light cotton.

Try Natural Gear , the pattern's ability to hide you from game is superb and the product comes in cotton , polyester , and poly-cotton including fleece . http://www.naturalgear.com/I got both of my deer last year wearing a NatGear coatwith my lower half concealed , they never even looked at me and they passed within just a few yards .

I have to agree that Natural Gear is the best camo on the market. I have used it in Canada, Colorado, and Ohio and it is amazing how it just blends in everywhere. I am not affiliated, etc, etc I am just one hunter who has been 100% sold on their camo pattern.Of course, sometimes I wonder if camo isn't just something that makes usfeel betterabout how we look in the field. I think it comes down mostly to the art of stalking or knowing when and how to move so they don't pick you up. So, I guess what I am trying to say is camo can only do so much, then it comes down to being a good predator.

I'll throw another punch for the Natgear! I've been using it now for about 6yrs and it works really well here insoutheastern NC. I use the natural andevergreen pattern and hope to add some of the new SCII in the near future, it looks awesome.

I guess I am just Bill Jordan's Camo Boy

I use RealTree hardwoods, I have a ton of large mature oak trees, I also use Preditor in the spring for turkey hunting. When the leaves fall I love RealTree Grey pattern. When cover is thin I use Skyline camo pattern. Setup is evrything(IMO), a well setup treestand well produce more chances for you than any camo pattern.

This is the outlet that the designer of Predator himself prefers.

GRAY WOLF WOOLENS! You wear this stuff once and you won't buy a different brand, ever! Check out the Wolfskin w/ Comfortmax liner. Awesome comfort and quality. I've been wearing a set for like 4 or 5 years now and consider it to be one of my finest pieces of equipment!

ghemry,

Sorry man, but when I look up in the trees from the ground in the fall I see lot's of white. Realtree and Mossyoak haven't quite figured that out!

I don't even consider cover in my set-ups anymore (wearing Predator Fall Gray). After hanging over 40 stands last year, if I had to consider cover I'd still be in the woods!

TheLone Wolf,
No offense we just have a different way of doing things. I would rather have 10 well setup stands, then 40 so so ones.
When I look up I see blue sometimes, lol All about where you hunt, my woods has not been logged off in 140 years. I have some big trees!!!!

Realtree makes some patterns now a lot lighter, and if the stand does not have enough cover I will use skyline.

Lone Wolf why are you a realtree hater, lol(joking)

Skyline

Just ordered some new skyline, there is the jacket. I ordered mine w/scent-lok, also got the pants. I really like this pattern for setups with minimun coverage.
