Wow, look at this group (25 yards, but yet with 125 grain)

Wow... I can't believe the group I just got! This is mind boggling to the point where just I don't understand it....
Normally, my bow calculated to be roughly 272 fps with 100 grain tips and a little light (about 10.17% FOC) for hunting purposes. So out of curiosity, I screwed in some old 125 grainers and to play around with. According to calculations, a 125 grain would put me about 268 fps and a nice 12.68% FOC.
The below picture is two Beman ICS Hunter 340's at 25 yards with 125 grain tips! I even buggered up one fletching on the first arrow!!
I think I found my bow's true niche... It seems to like 125 grain tips more than 100 grain...
Now all I have to do is adjust my sight pin a tad and I'm good to go! [8D]

Thanks... I know one thing, I am loving my new Reflex Highlander.
I have tons of time to play with it, play with different arrows, all sorts of stuff, before the season comes in.

I am going to say the extra 25 grains softened your spine and perhapsnow your spineis in the sweet spot for your .340's setup.
I actually prefer a little more FOC then the 10% norm. I like to be in the 12% range as you are now shooting.

Nice shooting, now when you adjust your sights dont forget to shoot each arrow at the different spots or your asking for some expensive trouble
