Default turkey decoys

this is my 1st year hunting turkey's w/ a bow and i have never used decoys. well i had 5 jakes come in the other day and when they saw my jake and hen decoy they ran like heck. watching double bull shows they almost alway use decoys to draw them in that exra 10 yards or so. well again i have never used decoys so what should i do. the place i hunt is private land and not hunted hard at all so i just don't know what to do.i am thinking of using them until i get a positive or negative response from a mature bird. my cousin took a nice one yesteday using decoys. so give me some feedback!!!!

If you use the decoys several days in a row and the birds are not reacting positively then don't use them. Your best bet is early in the season on unpressured turkeys. I have found a jake usually works better than a hen.
