Anyone want to see a 150-class yearling?

Sorry I can't get the pic to rotate correctly... I've spent the last twenty minutes trying to get it right on photobucket; it's imported correctly, but when I link to it here, it turns like this. Oh well, you get the idea...
One of our downtown merchants also raises deer on the side, and this is a 1 and 1/2 year-old of his that he's pretty proud of. A true 7 x 7... extremely rare. He told me he's been offered $50,000 for him by at least six different people already.
He actually grosses 148 7/8" right now, with 20" main beams and an inside spread of 17 1/8".
Wished I could have got the pic fixed...

Yeah, this one is a bit smaller in inches than the world's largest yearling, but he's much more typical and "prettier," I think... I enjoy talking to this gentleman; I was explaining to Bols about how networked this industry is. I mean, these guys keep track of every big deer in the country. It's why the people involved with stealing Goliath didn't stand a chance... The deer are also almost all related, too. They'll buy "straws" of semen from all the top deer, and a couple years later, they're matching them up with someone else's from a similar strand... Genetics plays such a big role in all this...

you pump enough food into a pet and it'll get fat in a hurry. this deer is no different ........... I'm tickled he's raising him so well, but what does this have to do with bowhunting ? I mean, its a great deer ranching thing but other than that ...........
