Default Picked up my Allegiance (pics)

Called over to the shop on Saturday evening to see if they had Sunday hours..I thought they did not but when they learned my friend was coming into town to shoot the big 3, they said they'd open for me for him to shoot. I inquired about where my bow was I was surprised when they said the bow was there...my friend from the shop hadn't had a chance to tell me. ? Anyway they said come over about 10:00 am and they'll open so we headed over. They already had my Trophy Taker Pronghorn and loop on the bow so I was able to shoot it through the chrony....

But long story short first.... My friend was dead set on purchasing the Switchback as he shot it many, many times in his hometown....however his Mathews shop which is also a Hoyt shop but doesn't stock Hoyts and pushes Mathews because they make more money on a Mathews sale than they do a Hoyt sale (dealers is that right?). Again he was set on a Switchback....that was until..he shot the Trykon and my Allegiance. I didn't ask him any questions or pursuade him in any way as I wanted him to make up his own mind...I simply assisted him with the bows....When we finally crawled into the truck to leave he look at me and called me a couple choice words.....I laughed at him and said see....it's not an easy decision...he reminded me he was all set for a Switchback and said now, it's probably his bottom of the 3....he loved the draw cycle of the Switchback, thought the Trykon was smoother when he shot it and loved the Allegiance calling it a middle ground from the smooth draw of the Switchback to the draw of the Tyrkon and that it had both qualities and shot much faster....that being said, he's still thinking long and hard and will call with his decision...again, I laughed at him....

Okay, back to my Allegiance.

My Fuse Axium 10" stabilizer and Fuse Katana quiver was backordered so I don't have them on the bow....also, my Viper Predator Pro-MT I ordered from Viper is also in production and not on my bow so I transfered my Super Stix stabilizer from my Hoyt Vortec and threw on my Toxonic Sight and Boss scope. I still have to transfer my Super Peep onto the Allegiance and put a standard peep on my Vortec.

The Birth Cert. from the factory said the bow shot 314...

With my setup/arrow, 381 grain Easton ACC and the bow set at 70 lbs I got 305 fps....very impressive for a 28.5" draw.

I'll post pics if ya'll want but it's not my perm setup as my signature states, I'm waiting on accessories.

Also, I didn't go with the Knotless Loop....he had it on the bow but every shot the loop moved...you just can't get them tight enough without serving them in and since he had the bow tuned, I didn't want to tinker it out of tune so I allowed him to take it off and tie one on...I'll still tinker...I know, I know me.

It always feels good to get a new tool. Congratulations and have fun dialing it in. Have you decided what arrows to shoot? Pictures look great…I need to figure out how to post pics, so I can start showing some pics also.

Great looking bow Rob, congratulations. I will not be selling my Patriot(love it) but hope to add an Allegiance or Old Glory some day.

Oh yeah, the string loop.......I am shooting my first loop after my Bowtech dealer tied one on. So far I love it, but I do admit to checking the burnt ball ends before every shot.[8D]
