I'd be out west on a an elk hunt.

I always seem to be able to scrape together the loose change for new gear. It's saving up for the big hunt that I never seem to do.

I too would spend it on a trip, i have more than equipment than i will ever use. Actually now that im thinking about it, that money would sure help pay for some new mounts as well.

I'd do some low-cost hunting trips. I'd probably do a week bowhuntingin Ohio, staying atan el-cheapo motel. I'd fly out to hunt with some friends around the U.S., using the money for tags/taxidermy/treating my hosts to good food/beer.

So, I'd go as far as $4000 would take me incheap hotel-motel rooms/gas/rental cars/tags/airfare. I'm pretty well set with gear, so I wouldn't want/need much more on that front. With one vacation week to burn every hunting season, and a few personal days - $4000 would keep me busy fora few years. I'm not the kind of guy who needs to be pampered at a luxury spa while I'm trying to hunt - roach motels andhot dogsare fine. I don't really need/want a guide - just agood friend or two and some free time.

I've been blessed with the ability to really stretch a budget, so that kind of bling bling wouldgive me a lot of tags to fill. Time off workwould be my biggest hurdle.

I'd spend it all on hunting trips. Gas, lodging and tags aren't cheap.

For the "Gear Guys", and no offense as my Dad is a diehard one, what do you need the gear for if not touse on the actual "trip"? I'd rather keep using my 7 year old bow but hunt elk in Colorado this fall, then buy a brand new _________ and use the excuse "it is to expensive" to go on exciting hunts all over the world.

Of course having good gear is nice to, but only if you use it!

I'd try to get in on a good lease somewhere.

I never get out much... I'd take the trip!

Of course that's easier to say having just bought a new bow ;-)

A self guided Alaskan Caribou / Salmon trip would fit that budget...almost!

I would see if I could find a good guided hunt for around half the price, and then I would spend the rest [:@]of the $$$$ on new gear, there is so much hunting stuff that I woiuld like to have, but I will never have the $$$ for it all.
