I'd put it towards reducing the principal balance on land that I just bought last December. Only 42 acres, but the sooner I get it paid off, the more favorable my position will be to buy some more in the future. Owning your own land to hunt on is the best investment for your hobby if you are getting frustrated with the public land thing.

I would spend about $3000 on a black bear hunt in Alberta, Saskatchewan, or Manitoba, and spend the rest on high quality gear.

I'd be on my way to Alaska!!!!!!! To much gear just weighs ya down! I do need a GPS though.... Or I could just pay off my African taxidermy bill

Gear is good, but it is all about hunting!!!

What good is new gear if you don't get out and use the gear you already have?!
