just don't believe that ALL quick taxi jobs out there are done bad. it only take 4 days to do a real tan. i hate those taxi's that say fast turnaround must have been in a hurry and preserved it. no maybe they just didn't send thier hides off to a commercial tannery and waited 3 months to get them back!
i just want people to understand you just have to ask lots of ? of your taxi, if he is a little shady you will be able to tell. a friend of mine .....huntnmuleys waited 2 1/2 years for a deer mount. it is a nice mount, but it still only takes 15 hours to complete, huntnmuleys just didn't know the guy was 2 years behind schedule. so he kept waiting........[:'(]

Great looking bucks! My taxidermist usually gives them back in 3-4 months and I have never had a problem with them down the road..
Thats a pretty good price, I have a state record (if entered) 254 4/8 non-typical (found dead) that is only valued at around 12k. 6k for a 170 class seems high.
My dad also had a Buck stolen from his house several years ago that is about 176 and valued at approx 6k. We know this because we got it back as the crook sold it to Bass Pro.

Very nice mounts guys. My brother in law does taxidermy and once he fleshes out the deer, sends it to the tannnery, and mounts it, he can usually get them done w/in a month. He doesn't do alot of volume, so he really tries to take longer and put all he can into each mount, but they really don't take to long to complete, esp. if you have someone or more to help w/ certain steps.

DD it looks god to me. I have cinfidence in my Taxiadermist because the have been mounting deer in my area for about 20 years and I have never been informed of a shoty job. The area we live in is very small so the word gets around. They also own and operate Samsons Whitetail Mountain and mount numerous bucks. Not that I agree with a pay to hunt high fence area but none the less they do good mounts. My direct family has 10-12 mounts here and no issues.
My buddy who got his 170 class back last year in 30 days has no complaints either. We will see how mine stands the test of time.
As far as the buck that was stolen from my Fathers house that is in fact a true story and we have the evidence tags still on the antlers. The insurance company paid my dad 50% of the value approx 3k since the clown that stole them broke the skull plate so he could sell them and yes they did go to BP.

Perhaps some people misunderstood me when I said the quickie mounts don't "stand the test of time". I am not talking days, weeks, or months. I meant that 5-10 years down the road is when you start to see hair loss, skin splits, ear drumming etc..........If a mount falls apart in a couple months it would have to be the worst job ever.
I sincerely hope that is not the case for any of you guys because they are all great bucks...........just thought I would share.
