I have heard good things about Nikon Rangefinders. I did a lot of research to, and I plan on getting a Nikon sometime between now and Turkey season. They have a lot of the features I'm looking for; range, size, quality, etc

I have a Nikon Laser 800 and love it. Though it may be overkill if you are just hunting in WI. Check out the Nikon 440, it should be great for you. Unless you ever plan on hunting out west.

I have the nikon 440 and it is great. I haven't had a problem with it and it came with a one year warranty. It is very compact and a great buy

I use the Nikon 440, It's a well built rangefinder and very accurate. However it could stand to be a little brighter in low light conditions. For now I can see right up to dark but as my 41 year old eyes age I canimagine where it might get tougher to see.

It's kinda strange comming from Nikon because there scopes are fantastic and you actually pick up more light through the scope as darkness fallsthan without. This is not the case with the 440 rangefinder though. That being saidI like it and still would recommened it.
I'm looking at the 440 vs. the Nikon 600. It;s about a 300. but if it works better than the 440 at dusk I'd be willing to spend the extra $.
Any 600 owners out there that can shed some light here?

When is someone going to build a range finder that is built right into a archery sight? Single pin up to 100 yds. I think it would sell like hotcakes!

Don't want to sound sarcastic, but what ever happened to just being good at judging distance? To me ranger finders are good if gun hunting (which I don't do ) where you have to determine distances farther than 100 yards... But in bow range, come on.. too much junk to carry into a tree stand as it is..
