Default Arrow etiquette??

I have just started fletching my own arrows and I am sort of hung up on the red white and blue theme! I thought my arrows were the bomb until my wife advised me that the fletchings did not match the writing on the arrows. (White wrap, blue and red fletch on an easton axis arrow!) Should these match and do the deer really care? Any thoughts!! LOL

I used to follow a strict arrow etiquette. I would use two green and one white vane, with a green nock, and green Muzzy broadheads. I would align the fletching with the broadheads (although it doesn't matter). I would have one of the blades point straight up, with the other two sticking out. My vanes would be the same way. When drawn back, Muzzy 100 and Easton A/C/C were clearly visible on the left side.

I use to use two of one, two of the other, red white and blue, etc. But the deer, and well most other shooters dont care..... so I am using my own wing feathers from turkeys, all the same, and white arrow wrap and bright green nocks. I can find them, and they fly the same! [8D]

Who are you trying to look good for? LOL!!! A deer that is mostly color blind? A buddy of mine really takes the cake on this subject. Even the string on his bow matches his camo design and colors. Ridiculous!!

And just what's wrong with the string matching the colors on your bow? [8D]

Etiquette be damned. Fletch and crest your arrows any way YOU like them. HOWEVER, if you plan on a spring turkey hunt with your bow, please for the sake of safety don't use red white or blue anything that might be mistaken for a gobbler's head. There are those in the woods that will shoot at colors and then we have to read your obituary. That would suck.
