Etiquette be damned. Fletch and crest your arrows any way YOU like them. HOWEVER, if you plan on a spring turkey hunt with your bow, please for the sake of safety don't use red white or blue anything that might be mistaken for a gobbler's head. There are those in the woods that will shoot at colors and then we have to read your obituary. That would suck.

Hello
The deer don't care about the fletchings, its the broadhead that gives them concerns.
Seriously, This year I fletched my arrows using a reflective wrap purchased from Three Rivers Archery. My arrows will always have this wrap from here forward. I missed a shot at a nice buck one evening and my arrow sailed off into a standing cornfield. I couldn't find my arrow, so I waited until it got good and dark before leaving the area. I took my flashlight and walked into the field looking up and down the rows with the light. The arrow showed up like a beacon when the light hit the arrow.
I figure also if I ever shoot a deer and it exits carrying the arrow, itcould aidin finding the animal or show its route(if it falls out).

I sell a lot of PINK feathers. I tell my customers to choose something that really stands out in the woodsso that they can find their arrows. The number who choose pink and blue would amaze you.
