WHAT A SCHMUCK!
#1
Well I went to retrieve my stand today and wouldn't you know it, some low-life schmuck swiped it. They left my pull up string and the top 5 steps, but took the bottom ones. Don't know what that's about. I just don't understand why a guy can't afford to buy a $35 stand and has to steal someone elses.

Absolutely revolting, isn't it?! [:@] Some people are just too gosh darn lazy to work their way through life and think everything should just be given to them. Low life, worthless, pieces of crap! I have zero respect for anyone who is too damn cowardly to earn it themselves!

That's a rotten feeling! Was that on public land? I had a Lone Wolf sit and climb stolen once, that hurts, especially when it was locked with a cable lock on private property. They are the true meaning of the word "slobs".

Last month my brother went to get his and they took all the steps and left the stand because he had it locked on there. I guess it would be better to buy more steps than a new stand but still that is ridiculous.

On the property that I hunt I went out Saturday to look for sheds. I didnt find any but I did find three stands that are on the property and my grandfather doesnt allow anyone else to hunt. The proerty is 368 acres and during the fall is hard to cover because I dont want to stir things up. Needless to say, I came back to all three stand to place a notice on them that they have until the end of the month to take those stands out! I stated that if the stands are not removed I will take them and to contact the land owner as soon as possible or face prosocution if they are found on the property physically. This really gets me!

Andrew14, I had the same thing happen to me a few years back. Some low life stole my steps but left my stand because it was locked to the tree. I did harvest a elk earlythat year, but I left3 stands upover water holes in different placesthrough the season for friends and family. I went back by myself the last weekend of the hunt to pull them down. I wasvery upset becausethe stand was packed in on my back 4 miles in. The treedidn't have enough limbs on it to climb up, and I didn't have any other tree steps on me.I had a choice of bear hugging the tree to climb it, trying to cut it downwith a dinky pack saw, or walking out 4 miles to get tree steps. I decided against better judgment to bear hug and climb the tree. I got the tree stand and myself down just fine other than a few scrapes. But looking back that was realy stupid on my part because if I fell it couldhave been aday or twobefore someone came for looking for me. On a better note this past fall my hunting partner and I got back to our camp and their was afolded up paper with a note tapped to a half empty 5 gallon gas can. It explained that they got lost andwere almost out of gas in their 4wheeler. They took three gallons but left $10 in the wrapped up in the paper. I wasn't mad what so ever and wish others would have the same concideration.
