Default Problem with Lumenocks and Cobra sight...

Okay guys, today I got my new arrows (Gold Tip Pro Hunter 55/75's) so I decided to take the Lumenocks out of my old arrows (Gold Tip XT 55/75's) and put them in the Pro's. Well, they don't fit, they are so loose that if you nock the arrow on the string and try to remove it, the whole nock falls out. I thought that the Pro Hunter and XT were pretty much the same arrow with the Pro Hunter just having tighter specs. What would cause the Lumenocks to fit in the XT and not in the Pro Hunters? Is there anything I can use to get the Lumenocks to fit in the Pro Hunters, maybe a small rubber band?

My new sight, a Cobra Sidewinder LX (mystic) 5-pin was giving me problems tonight as well. I had a paper shoot tonight and took a few shots to warm up and I was drilling out the X-ring at 20 yards. Well, I set-up my target and started shooting when I noticed that my groups started to move around. I would group 3 arrows about 2 inches above the x-ring and my next group would be to the right/left. I finally got irritated and took a break from the target when I realized that my pin housing was loose, very loose. I tightened all the screws down as tight as I could and started shooting again. I was drilling them in the x-ring again but as the shoot went on I noticed the same thing happening with my groups and sure enough, my pin housing was loose again. Has anybody else noticed this problem with this sight? I am not sure what to do because I really don't want to put anything on the screws that are gonna make them stick incase I need to make more adjustments, but I really don't want to have to make sure the sight isn't comming loose after every dozen shots or so. That gets old and makes for one horrible paper shoot (254 10X)

Imight havethat sameproblem with my normal Cobra Sidewinder. Whether is was just weather change affecting my bow strings or actually the sight itself, I have yet to figure out.

I am currently trying the Sure Loc Sidewinder Model. . .I will let ya know how this one compares to the regular Sidewinder.

As far as what you can do? Sounds like Loc-Tite is out of the question. Are you tightening the sight down with the thumb tabs or the actual allen screws?

If the thumb screws, try tightening it down with allen keys instead. If you already tightening with an allen key, well, you might have stripped the threads ever so slightly and are experiencing problems from this. . .

I have heard that String wax helps keep field points locked in inserts, do you think it would work for sight pin screws?

Now you got me worried also!! I have a Cobra Sidewinder Radiant Sight on my Trykon!! Only got to shoot about maybe 50 shots out of it so far. Sight has not moved yet, I'll have to keep a eye on it!!

If you take a slim piece of paper or maybe two on either side of the nock(NOT THE SIDES WITH THE LITTLE PRONGS)and slide yor nocks in this should take care of the problem.Good luck.

Teflon tape. Wrap 1 time around the far bottom of the nock. That should tighten it up just enough.
