How much of a difference would optimally tuned cams make?
You probably saw where Ausie-guy (I think that's who posted the info...) threw up a thread in the tech forum a week or so agowhere he shared some info on where we could buy a chrono for under $100... Next on the list after my new Toad press!

First I will go so far to say that all 4 of these bows are top notch bows and if anyone, and I mean anyone could bad mouth any of them then, that one person doesn't know bows and archery...I mean all 4 are outstanding and I'd be happy with absolute any of them.....but I can't buy all 4 at this time so I had to put them up head to head as best we could to make a decision on what felt right in my hand, satisfied me above all else and meets my expectations. That being said, here are the setups and the stats for the night.

But instead I'll just say well said, very well said. Congrats on your new bow.

Interesting comments from an experienced bowyer on the Hoyt grip.I had aMartin (first ever bow, used, two years ago) and was ready to buy another last year. Going only by what everybody seemed to say about Mathews, Iwas about to purchase one. I thenshot my neighbor's new Hoyt Vipertec and knew I was going to go Hoyt before I even drew back. I have large hands but still could not believe how great the tiny grip and entire bow felt. I went to the shop and did nothing but grab grips on all the brands (that way no salesman bothering me about what I am supposed to like) and picked Hoyt. Wound up with an xtec I bought from another HNI member.

Rob: Just wanted to say I enjoyed reading your reviews. It's nice to see an actual unbiased hunter post results about three different bow brands. You can't always believe what the company tells you.
Good job!!!

Rob, Greg hit it on the head with what I was trying to say. I wasn't saying the chrono was off, but rather the particular Bowtech seemed slow. I have also seen posts where the binary cams when properly tuned(timed?) for optimum roloover will meet or possibly exceed the upper limits of what they say the bow will shoot. In a nutshell, you may have shot a "slow one" if you consider those speeds slow.

Jones, thanks and I agree, the Hoyt grip is one of the best on the market but we are all individuals and that's why all the bows are selling.
ducsauce, thank you sir, I wanted to the right thing and if I didn't enter it with an open mind, I would have made an uninformed decision and I didn't want to do that....everyone should keep an open mind, don't let anyone foroce your hand and shoot them all, how else will you know.
Mike/tx..totally understand.
I'm going to go ahead and lock this thread because I have it linked in the revision thread and we can carry on the discussion there...no use having redundant posting, right guys?
