Fawns this late are a sure sign that the herd in your area has less than ideal conditions. Something is out of whack. There is absolutely no reason a buck should be able to breed in June or July in NJ. If you are down south, then it's not that abnormal.

wow, if you have a tough winter there is no way she will make it through. I don't know where you live, but she wouldn't make it through any winter up here.

It is unusual to see spots on this late, but I'm surprisedit is still around. I'm not sure how bad the winter gets in your area, but in Wisconsin, it would have been a real tasty treat for some coyotes.

i saw a fawn that was born late it was november and it had no spots and weighed like 25-30 lbs

I have never seen a spotted fawn this time of year. You have
a lot of unusual critters running around in your woods. Anything
might pop out while you are on the stand. Keep the pics coming.
