I'm still trying to figure out what "...or generally arguementative threads..." means! The way I see it, might just as well eliminate the Political forum. Best I can tell 99% of the threads there would fit that criteria.

Easy now Justin you would have to pry it out of my cold dead fingers
. LOL I can understand why the founders of this sight would like to make rules as far as posts when it comes to bashing a certain sponsors product, but when it just someones opinion or someone is asking for advice to help them then why would they want to ban that kind of thread. But it is there perogative because it is their website.

You guys are making waaaaaay too much out of this entire situation. We're not limiting your right to debate a particular subject given proper facts or personal experiences. However we are no longer going to allow the "Product X is a piece of crap and if you buy it you might as well toss your money down the toilet" type stuff. If you're got a legit gripe with a company or product we want to hear about it, just make sure you present yourself in a civilzed manner and keep your facts straight. This holds true for sponsors or not.
The one thing that has always set HuntingNet apart from the rest of the boards out there is that it's not a free-for-all when it comes to bashing, fighting, arguing, and generally promoting an atmosphere where new people are either scared to voice their opinions or don't even bother registering at all. We've gotten a bit relaxed when it comes to that type of stuff and this is just our way of bringing things under control again.
If that doesn't work THEN we'll resort to taking your guns, your homes, and your firstborn.

I just hate the threads that people say "I don't know where I hit it and I know I shouldn't have started tracking right away, but I got down and went100 yds and jumped the deer now I can't find any blood where do you think it went and where did I hit it"?
I don't mind the threads that people do the "right things" and ask for help after they are back and waiting. I feel good when people say things like "from reading on this sight I knew to wait it out and thengot my arrow and backed out as quietly as possible". Then, they come on here and give vital information that somebody may be able to assist them with like shot distance, angle, deer's body language, blood type on arrow, hair on arrow or ground, anddeer's reaction after being shot.
I always tell people if its dead in a half hour it'll be dead in 1,2,3,4 and even 12 hrs later if needed, weather and yotes being variables.
