RE: Gearing up for 06?

I intend on buying another gorilla king kong, and some more climbing sticks. I like hunting from my climber and actually have two (I leave one up). I have my mind made up to buy a hoyt vtec and some more climbing sticks. the screw in steps are a bit of a bother. don't know what else I 'need'. eastern sportsman's show will hopefully help remedy that.

I will also be planting a food plot behind my house and putting out some mineral blocks.

I've gotten a few things already for next year. Pair of steiner compact binos andsome lone wolf tree sticks. There's a few more things I'll be needing by next fall, more arrows and some odds and ends for my elk trip in september.

So far I have purchased a new Summit Viper X5. Im looking at buying some lockons but I cant seem to find one I really like. I keep hearing so much about the new Bowtechs and would love to shoot one, but there are no dealers in my area. I take that back there is one about 40 mi from me but they dont keep them in stock. According to Huntersfriend I qualify for the Bowtech in the Boonies program but I hate to buy something that I cant shoot.

Oh, and we also bought this little place for me to be able topractice from the deck and simulate shooting from a treestand:

Here's the patch of woods which separates us from one of the top-ranked golf courses in the state... and, yes, I've already found deer tracks in my yard!

Perhaps a new set of camo pants and jacket. The ones I have are from 1990 and still in decent shape. But, maybe a midsummer present to myself.

The real thing I am gearing up for in 2006 is to exercise more and get in better shape. I could stand to drop 10-20 pounds before next season!

Buckeye,

What lock on stands did you buy?

Buckeye

What lock on stand did you buy?

Razorbacks, they are pretty nice. The 24X30 inch platform is why I buy these. I had 5 of them already but one got stole this year. Nothing like replacing something you already had
