Tribute Finds New Home: New Pics!

Well after 3 shots in the ProShop I traded in the Tomkat for the Tribute. The Bow has the speed mods and is shooting a 450 Gr stick approx 287-293 fps with a 29 inch draw. The speed cam feels smoother than my single cam Tomkat and is smoking it by about 30fps. The feel is sweet as can be and is very dead in the hand, I even opted to ditch the sling.
The grip is a little thick for me and but all and all this is by far the nicest bow I have ever touched. The bow is quiet and only has a thump sound quickly followed by the wack of the target. It took two shots to paper tune my Trophy Ridge dropzone, and about 10 to get it all sigted in at 20 yards.
Another plus is the $50 bucks that goes to families who have lost loved ones in war times. Freedom is not Free and I want to personally thank all of our Veterans and Soldiers for defending our freedom. It is nice to see a company give some back no matter how small the amount at least it is a start! Nice Show Bowtech!

Congrats on the new bow!!
Did you go from a 29" tomcat to a 29" tribute & does the draw length feel the same distance traveled on each?
"approx 287-293 fps"
Did you shoot it through a chrony with the 450 grain arrows?

LOL, Nubo!
I tell people that there's only four words I've got to say to them when they go test-shoot a Tribute: "Take money with you."
Congrats, buck. You're really gonna enjoy that little sweet shooter.

The tribute has the specs I want in my next bow & if I can live with the feel of the draw cycle it could be next. I'm gonna sit back and wait until the new wears of of the two models I'm looking at before even going shopping.
Sounds like a good thing to wait for my pocket book's saketoo.

Day 2 Report. So far still dreaming about it when I am not shooting it. I just spent the last 2 hours shhoting ( yes it was dark) and I think it is even shooting better than day 1.
I kept the same draw length on this bow as my Tomkat which was 29 inches but, something does fell different. My left arms seems to be bent just a sight bit more with the Tribute ( I am right handed). The Draw cycle does not have the harsh break over like my Tomkat but it does seem harder to pull back at the same poundage.
I shoot 100 gr field points and 100gr 4 blade muzzy broadheads. Like my Cousins Defender my muzzys seem to hit high and left compared to my field tips. On my Tomkat there was minimal difference between the two. I am thinking it might have something to do with arrow speed causing the broadheads to fly in this manner,we had he exact same results with the Defender compared to Tomakt using all the exact same arrow specs and tips.
On occasion I like to video myself shooting to watch my mechanics and to see what the bow is doing and see how it sounds. I shot approx 16 arrows in a 4 round session and one thing is clear from the frontal view, this thing has almost zero movement after the shot. I shoot a very light grip without a sling, the only movement was the bottom limb moving about 1-2 inches forward after the shot. Shot noise is nothing more than a dull thump with the factory hush kit and a Simbs Stabalizer. On my Tomakt it had a almost metalic like "bing" sound. I do plan on installing a set of the sims limb dampners as they reduced the sound on my Tomakt substantially.
I will keep you all informed as I plan to shot as much as possible between now and Turkey season. I am on a Mission to get a Gobbler with a bow!
Grade at this point A- ( Need to work on the BroadHead issue)

Great recap and thanks for the info. Let us know how that broadhead issue works out.
I wonder if there is any reason the new bows come out ~6-8 months before most hunters try tuning their bows for broadheads. It's not until then that most find out just how tunable their bows really are.
We read how great the new models shoot yada yada and then come September it's scramble time to make the fixed blades work.
As far as the draw length difference goes, does it look like the arrow isn't coming back as far at full draw when comaring the inserts location to the riser between the two bows?
And the drawing harder part, from what I've read on here- since the binary's reach peak draw weight sooner than the I-cam your muscles will have to get used to the new tug before it feels normal again. If what I've read is true it won't take long.
Sounding great so far!
