20,30,40,50

For that snake head at 3 yards, your 40 pin will be closest

RE: how many pins?

If it's a hunting rig then I'd opt for only two pins. One at 20 and the second at 30 yards. There really is no reason to have a pin at 10 yards. There is only about an inch difference between 10 and 20 yards. Having more pins just obscures the target and gives you more of a chance to pick the wrong pin in a hunting situation. I've even seen guys pick the wrong pin shooting targets. It happens, but it's never happened to me--------yeh right!!

If you want to practice at longer distances then a third pin will be needed and set for 40 yards. Then when you go hunting just take the third pin off or slide it down out of the way.

Depending on the speed of the bow, I like a single pin for hunting sighted in for 25 yards. That allows me to shoot out to 30 yards with about a 3" drop which still keeps the arrow in the vitals with no hold over or trying to pick the right pin. With only one pin I always pick the right one.

I shoot 4 pins, 20,30,40,50 My bow shoots flat out to 20 so i just use the 20 pin on anything closer then that.
