RE: Took My 7yr Old Hunting This Evening.....Long
I enjoyed your post so much that I called my 7 YO girl over to read it. She has been asking to go along also, but don't know if she is really ready. She said that I should take her because you have, I don't know if I should have let her read it now. Regardless I am glad you involved your daughter and I plan to do the same with mine (sooner than I thought I would).
Thanks again.

JustinL.....congratulations on an eventful day. I took the 11 yr. old on his first bowhunt on Saturday and can relate to your story.....
Take a look at the Browning Micro Midas.....short draw length and low poundage....darn good little bow to boot.
Have a great season.....

Great story JustinL. The hunt was all it was about when we were young, now it's all about sharing the hunt with the kids. There's nothing quite like seeing the excitement in their little faces knowing that they are doing something really special with you in the outdoors. It has always facinated me watching how they think and act while on scouting trips, in deer camp, and the actual hunts. Enjoy them while they're young, they won't always stay that way.

I don't know if she's ready for a kill yet either. She's doesn't have any problems with it conceptually. I just don't want to turn her off on hunting. The visual might not be something that she's ready for.
I'll see how it goes and let you all know. I've got a really long bow season here in Illinois - till Jan 17th - so I got lots of time.

Great story sound's like you have a new hunting partner,I love the part where she start's to make the blow noise's at the deer like you were doing sound's like you had a great time,As far as a bow
Browning Micro Eclipse,Darton make's a varity of youth bow's and I believe PSE also make's a youth bow.If it was me I would take her with me a few more time's just to see if the intrest is really there or if she's had enough of it
