To start the day off right my grandson got a great 8 point his first year bowhunting and his first deer.
then this afternoon I climbed into my stand at 2:30 and by 3:15 I had 2 does under my stand they fed for awhile and then left at 4:05 then at 5:00 they came back into the small field I was watching I watched them for about 20 mins and then a hugh doe fed into the field right under my tree and was followed by a very nice yearling doe who made the mistake of turning broadside at 15yds and after a 100gr Shockwave double lunged her she went only about 30 yards total and fell. 2 more deer followed her and then calmed down and fed away.
I did have my Cardeer necklace on as I was draging her to the road which was only 10yds away I saw 4 more entering the uper side of the field about 30yds from my stand all in all a wonderful first day.

Congrads to you both. Glad that the grandson has the bigger deer, lets him brag to grandpa more, which is a nice thing.<img src=icon_smile_approve.gif border=0 align=middle>
Sounds like you got a good stand for putting some venison in the freezer.
Good huntin'
